Hey everyone I'm pretty new to this kind of thing and have been looking around to see how exactly you transfer a website after someone has purchased it but haven't really received a definite answer so it may be a stupid question but at least now i'll be able to know the answer lol

I believe you just push the domain name and send the buyer your website files so they can upload them to their host but is there other or better ways you could do this?

You need to push the domain name to your buyer's account as well as send him/her all files alongwith database if your site using database.

make sure you change any emails you had with the domain aswell. you dont want the buyer receiving all your emails if he makes the same email.

and theres no better way of transfering unless you just hand him your account.

Other way could be you also sell your hosting to seller if you are having only 1 website hosted into your account

so no need to push just give him your cpanel access alongwith user/pass and take money incured on hosting

that is simple as well so no worries of transfer

ah that's a good idea too merlinseo i wouldn't have thought of that, so hosting companies are ok with multiple accounts? or do you have to work on one site at a time doing it that way?
