Website Ticker

I am thinking of adding a new ticker to a website that shows the latest news/stats but have been advised not too.

Are tickers good or bad? what negative effect can they have?

 

I think it's a great idea for a news/stats site, because that's the place tickers are meant to be.

 

I think they are good...but where do you get the code for these tickers is what I wonder?

 

It would be perfect for a news/stats site. Just don't make it annoying, something subtle is all you need.

Fairly good Ticker.. Works well for my site. If you're looking for sleekness, I wouldn't recomend it. It's just a simple counter.

Is it possible to have a ticker that doesn't start from the begining everytime you reload the page?

 

I do not see the latest news you mentioned, just numbers?

 

No tickers do that.. All tickers stay from the last number..
