I am currently designing an art gallery/web studio for just this type of thing. I do fractal art and digital photography and plan to have some for free downloads and some for purchase. I also plan to have subscriptions at a flat rate so you can access all of a certain section or sections. If you are interested in this, I am seeking a few more individuals as artists. Hmmm........... for original prints deviantart allows you to upload your original art and sell them as prints off their site.
I have never actually done a template like that, but I could try and figure something out. Are you looking to just have good backgrounds? I can pull that off pretty nicely. I am working on getting a better digital camera to get higher definition pictures. Right now I am not working with much in the megapixel department. I know how to shoot well and have many photographs I will be scanning in at high definition. Send me a PM if you are talking to me
Hi, Damien, I guess the best bet for you will be to use a fellow's (or your own, if you can create one yourself) picture gallery - of course, there are some art sales catalogues online but getting a subscription there requires a mass of money... And I think sk33lz's offer might work well for you
