I am a realtor with a resale account at hostgator. I need to develop about 3-5 websites that have the typical functions that real estate sites have...ie MLS search, featured homes, lead capture pages. I don't want to spend the money to host these sites on a typical company that caters to real estate agents (I already have two of these at 29.99 per month and 49.99 per month) when I can host it on hostgator for free. I have been looking at websites that offer a one year membership and allow unlimited downloads of templates and they do have templates for real estate. Are these any good? Can anyone recommend a template company? Can you customize the site once you get the template in place? One other thing...I looked at the site builder program that comes with host gator, but their templates seem very basic and even the ones geared toward real estate don't seem to have any real features like the ones I listed above. If you use a service like TemplateMonster, you will need to have a program such as Photoshop to edit the custom template images. I've used a few of them and they are all pretty good, but you most always have to edit the .psd file of images they give you. If you need to create several sites at once, this is the way to go in my opinion because you most always get behind in the design phase. (at least I do anyway)
