Website submission - uninspired work !!!

I am really tired to submit my new site (www.vnviews.com) to free directories. Submission to almost 250 dirs takes me 3 days. Few of them I get approval, some declined, some promise "review as soon as possible", others say "we are very busy, it takes about 4-6 weeks to review your website" etc. I think that every of you experienced with that. So please advice for newbie: How to do? Three days and I am fed up with doing this. Automated submission? Paid submission? (Sorry, bugget is limited, I cannot pay for this) :( .

prefer to follow a constant speed, prefer doing about 25 dir submissions a day. there are many a directories to go for some thing over 1000 free directories that you should found easyly.

it takes about 2 months to know exact status of you submissions.

    got that.

i still say do it regularly, we use to do 25 sub a day for 4 different sites that is 100 in a day.

"you want to finish and move on" rember the old saying "slow and steady wins the race" atleast thas how we do it.

It takes you 3 days to do it but you can pay around $40 for submission to 250 directories.

You need to consider how much you value your days work and maybe use a paid service.

250 shouldn't take more than a day if you automate the process as much as possible. I recommend Directory Expert by http://www.backlinkboys.com/. It allows you to submit to 250+ (last time I checked...the list is growing) directories with just a few clicks (many with only one click). It does cost $15 per year, but my time is worth it. If you aren't willing to pay even $15 per year for something that saves hours of time, get firefox and add the In Form Filler plugin. It is almost as fast as Directory Expert and lacks the nice navigational features, but it is free. Either way, you should be able to submit to 250 directories in 9 hours tops.

I'd also like to point out what many others are saying: Directory submissions are a never ending process. New directories start up every day. Many start free and then move to paid, so it pays to check the new directory announcement threads frequently. You can hurry and get done with your list, but if you think you're done at that point its because you also quit working on your list of directories.

As for paid links, some are worth it, even if they're justa directory. Some directories charge a buck or two just to keep the riffraff out. How many spammers will submit hundreds of links when they have to pay a buck or two per link? Also, with free directories you are relying on the good will of the webmaster. With paid directories, you are more likely to get an active and involved webmaster that promotes their directory, which only helps you gain more PR in the end. That isn't to say all paid directories are worth it, just that a lifetime link in a paid directory is probably going to last longer than a free link.

Directory submission burn-out sucks. I would definatley suggest pacing yourself and taking advantage of tools that are out there. Use sources like VileSilencer SEO Friendly list and tools such as Roboform to help automate the process.

Not a problem. :) Also, staying on top of the Solicitation section on this forum will help you get a jump on deals that many directory owners run. Often enough when a directory opens they offered free featured, discount prices, or express submission at no charge, to help boost link database.

How can you make sure that companies or people who say they will submit your site to x-amount of directories actually do it?
