There is a new site that I started to expose deaths and injuries at resorts in Mexico, Caribbean and Asia, amoung other places. It was started due to the death of some Canadian tourists over the past couple years, most Recently 34yr old Jeff Toews, who was vacationing with his wife in Mexico. He was found beaten and was pronounced clinically brain dead before having his body flown back to Canada for organ donation. He also leaves behind a 3yr old son. I am asking that if anyone has some stories to share about being hurt, threatened or any other type of incident at a resort please sign up on this site and share it so that others can see how much stuff is being covered up by an idustry driven by greed! www.resortsofdeath.com Thanks Brad
Many tourists go to different places in Asia and meet with unexpected death, you can read this almost daily at some place or the other, hope your site helps prevent in some way these tragic events
Hmm some vacations are suposed to be "dangerous" so i don't really se the point / more then freacking out potential customers If i was one of the owners of the resorts i could sue you consider this when you open a site like that
yes I guess this is true, but in terms of real legal action I would see it hard for the resort owners to sue me. Freedom of speech would prevail in this case I hope...
120 Germans die approx. per year in Thailand. Most of them of heart failure, because of the bar girls and beer, according to an official goverment statement from Germany
that is what I hope, how ever I am having a hard time getting people to sign up on my site. Any ideas how to attract people?
I'm not sure I agree with this: "corrupt indusrty that sells dreams, but deals death as easily". These tourists and their families were ultimately met with horrible circumstances on their respective vacations; but is it really the hotel / resort or tourism INDUSTRY's fault? Negligible situations, like the pool drain are the fault of resort owners, but that has occurred many times in the States at public pools, as well. The stabbings, beatings, rapes, etc. are the sole responsibility of the attacker(s) - not the industry. Just my opinion. I also believe that when we go on vacation (anywhere), we tend to be too lax, and complacent; thinking "nothing bad can happen to me here...I'm in paradise". We must travel wisely in these times of such evil and corruption. Horribly sad stories, which deserve to be told, though.
