Well there seems to be some talk about the speed of your site affecting the ranking of your site, it's not official but it's something to take notice off. Google Rankings and Website Loading Times
Google is now taking into account how fast or slow your website loads, this will affect your rankings, it's as simple as that.
you mean: slow loading is good for your pagerank...or vice versa? Why is there no open policy with Google? Do you order products when it's a mistery what's inside of the box?
Slow Loading = Bad Fast Loading = Good Read the article at the top, it's all to do with the caffeine update, google is focusing on speed at the moment I think.
It makes sense. If a site takes forever to load most people leave. Most people who make own site should realize this.
I think it is something to do with the new crawler that google is developing. I think I had also posted a similar kind of post here
So hobby-webmasters without the knowledge with no real investment in their site, are getting punished by google....now that is fair. Aren't all clients equal? "why must i pay more for my bread & milk than this gentleman"?
This is gr8 news , the website that has better hosting should rank better than website on poor hosting
That's true, Yet - I thought the same 5 years ago as well, That's why I try to optimize as much as possible every time. 1. Better for the visitors 2. Easier for the spiders
Yes i agree... Soon a war will erupt in hosting industry forcing the smaller slower cheap hosts to improve or get out the game as no webmaster with a good site will want to lose serps and traffic due to garbage hosting... Question: If your a surfer do you really want to wait more then a few seconds on any site page to load? Of course NOT... You'll go elsewhere and Maybe come back later or another day laterz malcolm
That's one of the reasons why I'm changing web hosts now. My current web host has slow servers and I think it may factor into my rankings like how you said.
