Two sites: http://www.gamescript.net/ and http://www.freeturnkey.net/scripts.html offer the same arcade games script but one for free and the other for $69.99. Surely the script is copyrighted to gamescript.net but how come the other one is offering it for free? Isn't this in breach of copyright?
Possibly bought resell rights to the script, and as you gain resell rights the new reseller could have the power to sell it for whatever he chooses, in this case, $0. I've read that freeturnkey.net uses the outdated "FREE" version that was available for download at gamescript.net some time ago.
Ah, I see. So if you install it, you would be allowed to change the footer where it says it's copyrighted to www.gamescript.net.
the one on freeturnkey is the original v.1 gamescript script, which i understand was turned Free when the development stopped on it a long time ago. Within the documentation on it, it does say that you can change the copyright, but you cant pass off the script as your own - its a wierd GPLish license
The owner of freeturnkey.net has rersell rights of all the scripts available for download at his website.
