I'm looking for a script /program of some sort which will do the following: 1- Allow me to enter a search phrase 2- Goes to eBay 3- ensures that we are not part of a "test group" - eBay tests new search algorithms on small percentages of it's user base - sometimes if you do the same search in IE and firefox you get different results - I assume it's a cookie or something that needs clearing to fix it - you tell me! 4- Searches for the search phrases in "1" and click the "buy it now only" box. 5- count the number of search results - EXCLUDING THE FEATURED FIRST LISTINGS AT THE TOP IF THERE ARE ANY. (I can show you how to identify these if you need me to) 6- extract the listing titles for the first 10% of results and write to an excel file - AGAIN EXCLUDING THE FEATURED FIRST 7- repeat "6" for the middle 10% and the last 10% of results You may use eBays API if you know how to. The final excel file should be named as the search term and the date. It should contain 3 sheets - top 10%, middle 10% and bottom 10% Each sheet should be a list of eBay item titles. You can choose the programming language but it should be fast and easy to use. Please let me know how long this program would take and how much you would charge, along with any further info you require. Also please tell me if you will use eBay's API and what language you will use. I will make payment when I have tested the program and when I'm satisfied with it, but you may remove some functionality in the sample (such as only enable it to search for one specific term which you set). You can then give me the fully functioning program once you have been paid. (or you can just trust me!) If we work well together I have another similar type of script which I need, and there is a good chance you will become our regular programmer. We are an ecommerce company and have a few ebay accounts, websites and often we need tools making or modifications to the sites PHP doing. Anything I've missed or any further questions, please respond here. Thanks, Dave
