Okay, my site has been live 3 years in February 05, and I've tried to make it as simplistic as possible for holidaymakers (vacationers) to search and find a villa or apartment etc. Your looking for a property to rent for your next vacation / holiday - do you think the search is easy? Too complicated, too many clicks, do you think theres enough information on the property advertisement (bear in mind I have around 150 properties to moderate due to a mad rush of advertisers signing up this week) Would be interested in your thoughts. Darren EDIT: it might help if I give you the URL - holiday-rentals.uk.com
Could you find a cottage in a specific country okay though through the search? The individual cottage-holiday.php etc pages are to aid SEO, they probably very rarely get clicked on.
I'm a browser by nature. Went back in and ran into trouble with search feature. I clicked on property search, selected Mexico, clicked on find me a holiday and received the following message. Warning: Failed opening 'Country_Information/Mexico.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /home/dccservice/public_html/wwhh/region-search.php on line 154 Glitch and all I love the logo and layout of your site. Back I go to play. Shannon
Ahh, I know why that is. It's an include file which is not created yet because the property which is located in Mexico (yep the 1 property lol) was submitted today, and need to gather Country data. Thanks for your comments Darren
For me I think you should try CSS style for font (or use other font). It looks like most of the webpages around the web.
I actually dont like the logo, it looks very cartoonish. makes me think I will be renting a villa next to speedy gonzalez, which could be cool actually.
Nice'n bright as I'd expect for a holiday rentals site. Found what I was looking for fast enough too. Loaded quickly (for me) and the layouts consistent. Acquired nav patterns quickly, easily memorized. Revisited after short period and continued to 'play' At this time of year might consider tie in with flight times and rentals. Bonus affiliate revenue, and additional data for advertisers etc. Cheers, JL
I've rented several places this way in the past and your site definitely looks nicer than the ones I used! It seemed a little strange having the rental insurance disclaimer on each page and the rates below it (and of course everyone wants to know the rate).
