Website Review

Hello everyone,

I recently opened up a new age of empires III fansite. The game is not out yet, but will be released before too long.

This is currently the 3rd largest english Age3 site in the world. And we hope to grow larger.

I am looking for critique on how to make the site better for viewers, more search engine friendly and more unique. I am looking for any comments whether good or bad.

I would also like to know the best way to get out the word that I am looking to sell text links, and adspace. Along with text link exchanges.

I would also like to know how I can get a google page rank on my site. I seem to have a 0 and no clue how to get it up.

totally love it! great job! i'm one for sound, but someone who doesn't like it you have a very clear music on/off area. color is good for gaming site, and i love your mouse overs

The links on the green bar, the text could be a little larger, it looks like you have some room to spare there. At the bottom the graphic seems to half repeat. It looks like an error, but maybe it was intentional? I checked in in both IE and FF.

Side question, I don't have much time for games anymore but I was wondering if they were/are planning and expansion pack or an updated game of Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds to include the new locations and such from the new movie. I only ask since Galactic Battlegrounds is basically AOE with a Star Wars theme, think it uses the same game engine, etc...

 

From what I know they use different engines, and AOM and AOT and the future AOE3 are the only ones to use the multiplayer ESO and ESO2 interface.

I do not know anything about that game, sorry.

gameing wise, it look good, only prob I gott is that it is way to small on my screen (1600x1200) and I know of ppl that use higher, soo maybe you should make the site look bigger, or make multiple sites....

 

Ok, I made a screenshot and drew in some cheesey arrows in photoshop. PM me where you'd like me to email it.

 

The repeating problem is visible in Safari 2.0 as well. Also the text that displays the time is really tiny... Other than that the site looks extremely good

I love the design and the flash banner. I'm not usually one for music on sites, but it's pretty nice on this one.

Teh, I remember using that design for one of my sites. You may wish to go a little more AOE3.
