Hi, I need to have critical review of this website from design point of view. Please suggest. www.cyberdesignz.com
it's a very functional site but it doesn't convey to me that you build amazing looking sites, just practical and functional sites. Also, If you really want to set yourself apart, try replacing some of the stock photos with photos you take / photos of you and your actual design team. One thing that would be nice on the column where your past work is displayed, is the ability for the user to control the scroll.
The site looks good, clean and professional. The one thing it lacks is creativity. If you are going to build someone a web site, they want something new that haven't been done before, and is out of the norm. I like the flash header though.
There are a good number of companies who want practical functional sites. I like what you've done, impressive IMHO
The lack of fallbacks for the flashtard content is an accessibility /FAIL/ - even without the flash it's an ungodly 307k of images for something that by all rights doesn't look like it should need more than 20k... When you DO have that FAT BLOATED PILE OF **** TRASH FLASH loading it brings the site total size up to almost a megabyte - six times what I usually consider the upper limit for a home page and twelve times what I consider the ideal. The absurdly undersized fixed metric fonts are a complete accessibility /FAIL/ making large font/120dpi users like myself dive for the zoom. The fixed width layout is barely 1024 friendly (I'm still getting a sideways scrollbar in Opera and IE but not in FF/Chrome) Oh, and hat scrolling 'features' is annoyingly distracting since it's movement is so jerky. ... and that's just the superficial evaluation. We start digging deeper and 30k of markup for 6k of content on the page is a pretty good indication something is rotten in denmark, the 41 validation errors are also a good indicator of problems, as is the whopping 160k of javascript for THAT. (Not that I see ANYTHING on the page other than that annoying scroller that warrants the use of javascript in the first place!) We peek under the hood and... yup, as I suspected, tables for layout... and badly written tables at that. When you are nested four tables deep before you even get to the first line of actual content, something is REALLY wrong. When you have non-breaking spaces in every first TD in a table, something is really wrong. When you have vague meaningless classes like "style3"... When you have not a single heading tag (numbered or TH/Caption) on a page with at least four obvious headings... when you have line breaks IN-BETWEEN your LI, when you have what I'm assuming is a new website (since you are asking for reviews) that is in a tranny doctype with hordes of presentational tags and attributes... My advice as always ends up chuck it and start over with coding techniques developed AFTER 1997.
Thank you deathshadow. I really had missed some of the things you mentioned and few of them I do have in my notice that are to be corrected. Anyway, I must admit you really did a great analysis. I would be taking care of the issues you mentioned. Thank you.
well.. i liked it over all.. not a bad one... very well tried... but needs some extra work also,, above mentioned tips are very good to follow,, best wishes,,
sitereportcard.com rates your site as 6.5 out of 10 and load time as 1 out of 10. Try and reduce the size of some of your images, if you can.
Very different n nice site.I really like header in it but make some change in footer. Over all very nice. Thank you.
Good design and layout and personaly the header image impressed me a lot.It was fast in loading and easy to navigate. But the footer looks very simple and need to be decorated more.
I have check it too, trying to optimize the load time by means of optimizing the graphics. Thank you for assisting me.
