    The logo of the website is not standing out. needs importance. Then contents font is too small to read.

    The Layout is to basic and I agree with braymi perhaps use wordpress much better

    you waste a lot of blank area. empty area can be used for navigation, ads, affiliates, etc. and about font, may be better to be bigger.

    you can afford to make the width of the website bigger

    i dont think anyone uses 800x600 resolution any more, trying going with the standard 960px width size! it will give you more real estate to work with
