We have had a site up and running for about 1 year now and it has had a lot of custom. We are looking to update it with some various alterations but most of these are to the backend (cms) side of things.

Are there any suggestions you can make to the site look better? Perform better? Or just any reviews of your experience using the site.

    All feedback is appreciated.

Feedback from some of my favorite tools:

    Page Title is too long

The maximum recommended length for page titles is 70 characters, your current page title is 159 characters.

    Meta Description is too long

Your meta description should be no more than 150 characters, your current meta description is 234 characters.

    High Number Of Meta Keywords

The web page has 17 keywords in its metadata.

We believe that though the search engines don't weigh keywords as heavily as they used to, they're still important to get right. By using a high number of keywords, it is possible that you are diluting the effect of your most important keywords. We would suggest keeping the keywords to 10 or less. Currently, this page has keywords in its metadata.

    Permanent Redirect Not Found

Search engines may think www.solotechnic.co.uk and solotechnic.co.uk are two different sites. You should set up a permanent redirect (technically called a "301 redirect") between these sites. Once you do that, you will get full search engine credit for your work on these sites.

For example, www.solotechnic.co.uk seems to have 237 inbound links whereas solotechnic.co.uk has 239 inbound links. By correctly configuring a permanent 301 redirect, the search rankings might improve as all inbound links are correctly counted for the website.

Thanks for that joeventura. I'll have somebody look into some of those. Unfortunately as we've purchased a CMS system from another company i'll have to ask them to do a lot of this.
