website revenue

    I did put on my website some of google ads - and the revenue generated is very very low - is it possible that I did something wrong ?

    to get revenue from a website, you must first have good traffic for that website.

    It's really all about traffic. With a high traffic site, you can easily earn money :)

    While traffic is an important aspect, another important factor is your niche. Depending on the competitiveness of your niche, the click price could vary from 10 cents to a few dollars or more. Some niches might also have more alluring text in their ads that generates more clicks. The revenue potential for AdSense has dropped over the years. Google has kept paying publishers a lower and lower percentage of the ad price.

    Another important factor is how and where you integrate the ads into your site.

    If you have decent traffic and the money is still too low, I would look into affiliate programs that are related to your content.
