keep posting in forums related to your niche, try to write good and informative articles related to your products and services and submit them to article submission sites, comment on blog postings on blogs related to your industry you can also use link exchanges. But since you cant spend money this would take a lot of time but if you follow these steps you'll get success for sure.
there are a lot of methods you can use to promote your web like writing articles, press release, facebook, myspace, digg ..... etc.
Do keyword research using Google's external keyword tool to find out what keywords your potential customers are searching for. Then write articles around those keywords and submit them to article directories like Ezinearticles.com. Also, find forums related to your niche and start posting on them and include a link in you signature that leads back to your website. Just make sure your posts are actually relevant and adding value to the discussion, and not just saying "cool post, bro." or whatever.

Well, that will mean work harder. Write nice content, submit to directories and social bookmarking sites, post comments on personal blogs and forums with the link to your site. And most important of all... keep working hard.....
Hey..There are many free online directories to promote your business successfully. 1.Directory submissions 2.Social bookmarking 3.Video marketing etc..
I agree with everyone's posts. Also, there are loads of forum promotion sites that allow you to submit your site for free, and then you can take advantage of some of their services, such as package requests, affiliate requests, and things like that. Search up "Forum Promotion" or "Site Promotion" on Google and it should get you a lot of good stuff.
It is pretty simple really. Not ALL links are GOOD links. Links to websites that contain certain content or those that employ particular tecniques etc etc can indeed can do your website ranking harm. When you add your links to another website, you cannot oversee what other websites are added after yours and any subsequent changes that may make to your own. You also do know know what the website owners own future plans are for the site, it could just as easily be good today but porn tomorrow! If people do not care, thats fine but I will never simply add my sites to other sites just because it will be accepted.
This is quite a common question as startups often have very if none exsistent budgets. If you are unable to pay for a quality service you will have to get to work and get your website name out there. Visit other peoples websites who are similar to yours, make contacts, make people aware you actually exsist. Post on forums, blogs, Q&A sites, Wikis - the possibilities are endless. Unfortunately the main reason websites fail is due to the problem you have come up against. It takes a lot of hard work and trial and error to find out what works and what doesn't. Good luck!
Remember that a successful monetized Blog takes time, effort and consistency. But you are on the right track with the word "naturally". Would suggest that you take a detailed look at your approach. If you are blogging through Wordpress, for long term success, make sure you are using a .org site instead of a .com. Make sure you have a good hosting site - HostGator is a good option. Once you have your blog template installed, determine your central focus. From there, you'll want to start adding content to your site that is relevant to your central focus. In every article that you create and syndicate (Onlywire is a good option for syndication), make sure it is interesting informative content. The content should be relevant to your central theme, and in most cases, should include a call to action. In other words, if the reader likes what they've read, here's a link to a product or another section of your blog that will give them either more information, or an affiliate product of yours that will help them to implement what was covered in the article. For major campaigns, make sure that you have a lead capture placement in place for collecting names and email addresses. The long term success to any blogging campaign is building a list in order to have large amounts of people to market to on a consistent basis. Aweber is a good option for creating these lead capture boxes. Make sure your blog is not cluttered and littered with affiliate links. Your first page should be inviting, streamlined and focused on the central theme. Any affiliate links should be subtle, passive and not a distraction from what people can learn from digging deeper into your content. If the main focus of your blog is xxx, make sure that any affiliate links that you have are directly related to xxx. You can find interesting products related to your central theme at ClickBank and PayDotCom. In summary, narrow the focus of your blog. Set up a front page with an attractive theme telling people what to expect. Write and syndicate content related to your main focus. Tie affiliate offers to your articles, videos, etc. Have these same affiliate links available on your blog in an attractive format. Once you have done this for a couple of months, continue to tweak your page and your offers and never put out blah content. If it's interesting, informative and impactful, people will respond. As you get more proficient, you will want to move into creating more impactful content. This is done by creating a presentation in a PDF format that you can give away to people, both your current list and in forums like this one. The give away should be provided only after people enter in their name and email into one of your capture boxes. Free products are such a great way to build a list of followers. If you are creative over the next few months, you can create several free how-to products that you've created through extensive research, and offer in many different places on the web. Do that, and in no time you will create a following in the hundreds and if savvy enough, in the thousands. Just remember, no one is going to visit your site just to make a purchase. Site first, content second, more content third with affiliate links, free offers fourth with a lead capture page, rinse and repeat. You income will come from sales offers made to your list. Move with a purpose and commit yourself to the project. Keep asking questions. Learn as much as you can. Do your research and you'll do well. Greg Tucker

I had good success with Article Marketing. But you have to take a systematic approach. For example if you drive enough traffic to your site at ezinearticles you will be able to get into the Most Viewed Section and if your articles are of high quality you will also be able to get into the Most Published Section. These links will then be of enormous value for the Rankings of your site and you can make it to Google Page One with some effort. Take a look at Instant Free Promotion Secrets This is one of my articles which is on No 1 in the Most Published Section and No 3 in the Most Viewed Section.
