I've heard that using embed link from forums to promote page is not effective anymore since Google change its method? Is it true? It quite unnerves me.
When it comes to SEO, forum posts do not have any kind of effect. Almost. Though, forums can be a great source of potential traffic. If you are considered to be a reputable member on any forum, then your advice will be listened and followed by many. That is how you can lure people to your website and eventually make money from it. But if you are on the forum just for the sake of a simple link to your website, then you are probably heading to the wrong direction.
Oh you would be surprised how effective can blog comments still be. But we are talking about huge amount of them on a well placed high trust flow sites and low outbound links. But that's quite black hattish. But regarding traffic, I agree with Ethan.
Forum posting is one of the good way to promote your website and also gets more traffics your website.
forum posting is still and effective way to promote your website. I personally using forum to promote my websites. It works great for me.
According to my opinion forum posting is the best techniques for website promotion where you can give any keywords as signature or direct website link to increase the website traffic.
It is not as effective as it is couple of years back but still people are using forums to get very good exposure. You should be choosing the right forums which have large number of members who has some interest within your niche. If you pick the right forums you are certainly gonna get good exposure from your forum posting work.
I agree. If you are providing quality information, people who will be interested generally will visit your site. Now these visitors are highly targeted; meaning they visited your site because the believe that they will learn more from you from the information you just shared. But if you are only going to use Forum links for SEO, I don't think it would still work. Xrumer can give you thousands and thousands of back links from forums, but I doubt if you will rank your site on the top of SERPs.
