    It can take months for PR to start showing. PageRank and SERPs are not the same thing.

    My understanding is as follows:
    Google keeps an internal PageRank that only they know. This is updated continually and determines in part how well your site ranks in Google's natural listings. Every few months, Google updates their "Toolbar PageRank" to match their internal PageRank. The "Toolbar PageRank" is the only PageRank that tools like http://www.prchecker.info/ can see. So, while your ranking in Google's listings can change continually, you should only expect to see your PageRank change every few months if at all.
