Website Popularity - Ibls, pageranks, dmoz, edu, social booksmarks

I should say like in a trailer "from the famous producers of Website Submitter and Article Submitter ... ". But now I will just say, is finally ready.

Q: What is Website Popularity?
A: A unique tool, the only one available that has gathered together all major popularity checkings possible. Now on the market are existing tool that display maximum 7 statistics. I am open for new suggestions of statistics you think are necessary. The application will be announce on our website on 5 January 2007, so now digital point forum and my friends from forum.seopedia.ro are the only places where this tool is posted.

 

As the owner of DNdownloads.com, I am always interested in trying out software geared towards domainers. I think your tool is well designed and has a clean look to it. I would be interested in trying out the tool with larger lists of names. The only problem I see with this is the lack of proxy support. If you could add proxy support to this program, you could easily market it to domainers, not just developers.

 

Now the applications is taking the settings for your network. So if you have setup a proxy in your Internet Explorer the application will use it automatic.

Is this what you need or you need infact proxy support for using a special proxy server to make the queries but not using your ip. If the second option is what you need I think I can easy incorporate this feature in a new version.

We had some suggestions received and we implemented also the following features:

- proxy support
- timeout settings for the url connections

If you try your tool with 1000's of domains, I'm sure you'll see at least Yahoo banning you temporarily. To make the tool truly useful to domainers, you would need to add the capability to add multiple proxies, and the tool would need to be able to detect which proxies are failing and remove them.
The best overall domain software available, Domain Research Tool, does all of this and even includes a proxy checker to check for dead and non-useful proxies. The checker is certainly not required, because there are plenty of freeware tools out there that people could use. But the auto-removal is nice.

I know this is kind of asking a lot. However, one of the major reasons why people don't purchase DRT is because of its cost (anywhere from $129 to $249). If you were able to offer software that was comparable but cost less, I'm sure you could add domainers to your client base.

 

Is it possible to add your own directories?

The application is not developed as a copy of DRT but still has more options regarding the website popularity. It is indeed an interesting direction you are suggesting. I am now going to implement also the multiple proxy support.

I am also working on the presentation page for the application.

 

Would be nice to be able to export all fields into one Excel file rather than having to export them one at a time. Also, how does the social part work? I checked two site that I know are on Digg but got 0's back.

 

I am taking the suggestion for the export in excel and I will implement in the next version. Should not be so hard.

Regarding the social bookmark let me know the domain you check so I can check it also.

- regional google searches ( you can choose your regional google ex:www.google.fr and display the results based on the regional googlee engine )
- statistics ( At every new data detected the application will save the numbers recorded and later on will allow you to generate statistics with increase/decrease curves. All statistics will be then able to be saved in jpg, htm or pdf format )

I have planned for version 1.3 all the features above. In this moment the only concurent of Website Popularity is Seomoz pagestrength.

 

Can you anyone explain why they would need this tool?

 

You can keep track of all your website parameters. You will then see how your efforts in link building, seo optimisation have failed or has succeeded.

Not a simple tool for showing some details but a complex one for showing all the parameters for a website popularity. One place to have all possible page ranks, all IBL and indexed data. All relevant details for a website.

In the version 1.3 you will also be able to display charts with the evolutions.

I can see where I might use this and track all of my clients, but the tool doesnt tell me anything about ranking. That's what my clients care about.

So I would suggest giving me some way to figure out ranking for key phrases.

That would make me a happy panda.

 

You mean how the website ranks for some keywords, or lets say first 4 keywords in the keywords tag?
