Is it ok for a website owner to use someone elses work without providing a proper back link. Example:

    http://www.education-portal.com

If you believe the website is contravening your terms of use contact them and tell them that you appreciate their using your content, but that they should have provided a live link back to the original article on your wesbite.

They should, at a minimum properly cite the original source of material. Failing to do so leaves them open to demands for material to be removed from their site and/or for payment for continued use.

no it is not ok. you should notify the site that you saw the article on and request your link placed on that page, a resource box or for them to remove the article all together. chances are they are trying to pass off the article as their own.
