Website or a Blog For Organic Traffic?

    If by HTML website you mean a manually maintained and updated site, then definitely Wordpress is the way to go. It's much easier and it was made to blog.

    It really depends on what your business model is, if you want to provide information, not spend a lot on start-up and make some money from ad revenue then WordPress is probably best. If you want to sell products or offer a specialized online service you might need a html based site with custom or off-the-rack scripts.

    As suggested, if its going to be something that you will manually be updating everyday, then a CMS like Wordpress is the way go to.

    depends on the target audience, blogs are better for informal matters.... You could also have site with a blog on it like they've done at http://www.sitepoint.com & various other websites...

    Hi All,

    Thanks for the replies.

    Well, I have the following targets.

    1. At 200 organic visitors to generate some revenue from ads.
    2. At 1000 organic visitors to generate revenue from affiliates.
    3. At 5000 organic visitors To generate revenue by selling my own products.

    So what do you suggest HTML website or Blog.

    Any more suggestions please.?

    I would go with wordpress blog. They are easier to manage (unless u have another great CMS you'd be using) and plus they seem to get special google treatment
