hi friends, can i install the tracking code of website optimizer on that page on which analytics code is already present, how can google co-releate these two, as both of the service are offered by same brand name(Google). I am confused, please suggest me... thnx in advance
Hi Manoj, While both the the services i.e. GWO and GA uses essentially same technology, the can separate themselves as both the tools would have different cookie for the users browser. However from practical standpoint, if you have urchin.js (old GA code) , its pretty easy to push GWO code into your pages. While if you have ga.js version of Google analytics, it is still possible to get GWO done ,but it requires some sort of manual coding done. Sorry but I would respectfully disagree with you ! For Google Analytics they do recommend newer version of ga.js, but for GWO , there are complications if you use newer method like gwotracker ! However , in this fast changing world, I may not be updated, I would appreciate if you can point out a URL where there are recommendations from Google about versions ! Thanks, Ravi
