Website Optimizer & SEO

I'm planning to use Google's website optimizer. From looking at it, it appears to use Javascript to display the content you are testing.

It also appears to me that this setup will be less than SEO friendly.

    Any input?

I talked to the product development team about this issue and they assured me that it doesn't affect organic seo. The reason is because you establish a default value that's on the page, then the javascript does a replace of that according to how you've set up your experiment. Those other values aren't "seen" by the crawlers, so it's safe.

If you're really worried about it, put the code on a dedicated landingpage.
