Each search engine has their own algorithm to determine how to rank websites. Google cares more about link quality and link age, whereas Yahoo is satisfied mostly by link quantity and onpage factors. I suggest you keep working at building links from quality, trusted websites.

    Wow! That's a broad question!

There could be many reasons, but providing you have a unique website, with several backlinks coming from pages which themselves are indexed in Google, your site should be getting indexed.

That is as long as there isn't a more serious underlying reason why your site isn't in Google - like a bought domain that has been banned previously or onsite optimisation that is against webmaster rules (hidden content/links, keyword stuffing...etc).

Try bookmarking your website on a few of the major sites (digg, propeller, clipclip...etc). Create a listing on Gumtree. That should be enough to get you indexed.

    HTH

Have you submitted your website to google?? It happens sometimes that one search engines crawls your website and other doesn't... so try submitting your website to google

    hope this helps...

yahoo is quicker at picking up sites and indexing them, however having said that when the site has great content then google will index you very quickly even before yahoo..

be patient google will pick you up....

there is no replacement for quality content

do not submit to google....as this can delay your introduction into the index esp if you have submitted multiple times, you are better to post a comment on a blog which you know something about and you will be index

It means they are completely different search engines that value different criteria for ranking. Would you expect differently?

    Easy easy
    When was your site registered?
Sounds new but that you will rank in 9 or 10 months
Yahoo can be mooved in about 10 weeks.
Google is much much quicker but only if the site is old.

Well, you should focus on Google SEO. Yahoo is a smaller player. But the SEO rules still generally apply.

    Hope that helps.
