Actually make that about 35 of my review sites were offline for 2 weeks. I went on vacation and agreed not to look in. By the time I came back the sites were either either offline or pulling from the wrong DB. So instead of doctors they got to find bicycles. Oh joy. This was in Feb. Traffic took an immediate tumble. It's down to about 8% of the results on ALL sites. I've tried being patient. I've tried links. I'm now trying you. Did you run into this? Was there a solution? If so, what was it? (I haven't tried moving hosts yet.) And, while I like my sites and so do visitors, I can't imagine Google wants to hand review them and put 'em live. Anyway *LOVE* to hear from someone that has walked this lonely road. And I have other projects that go very well, so no tears my way, but these ones frustrate me.
I'm still in the process of getting back into Google. I got hacked and now I'm back on my feet. Have you tried adding new content? That always seems to bring the google bot and your traffic back up.
Hey legendsranch: Thanks. Good point. I have tried some, and I did change up some of the content, but no real improvements. Perhaps I should try the wholescale.
@ Cheap SEO Services: hmmm, well it hasn't yet and it's coming up on 6 months since the problem started...
More content, blog posts, backlinks (high PR ideally). You could try approaching some high brow bloggers and get them to blog roll you for a month or two ($?).
You need to check if google has got any issues with your sites.. have you got them listed in google webmaster ?
i've never experienced this personally and never heard of it happening, sorry to hear about your problems
