Currently, I have a "test website" that has many articles on it. I've had mixed results so far. Recently, I wrote a three page article on let's say "Betta Fish Care". I optimized it w/ keywords and provided backlinks. Unfortunately, I'm ranked like #56. In order to move up, should I write more pages on the subject and make sure my internal links are cool...or, should I have a whole website devoted to "Betta Fish Care"?
Not exactly sure if that warrants its own site but it would be fairly easy to rule the demographic. (If there is one) The main problem is an average search volume of 6,600 or so monthly. However, that term only returns 101,000 pages which most competent seo folks could handle quite easily I would hope. Better terms would be betta, and betta fish. In order to rank for that term you mentioned you need to optimize that post, article, page, what have you. That sounds like a good venue for a squidoo lens as well. You could always throw up a wordpress site to tackle that stuff. hope that helps, Nigel
