    Hello

I am maintaining forum for a person, but I have some problem, its always working for "http://domain.com" while some of the time its not working with "http://www.domain.com", I have tried from different location at host-tracker & from mostly places its opening with "www" but from few places its not opening with "www" including me. There is "Server Timed Out" error.

However, remaining sites on this server with same DNS servers are always working without any problem.

Please help me if someone have any solution for me.

    Best Regards.

Without posting the domain name no one can check DNS for you or anything externally.

When you get a timeout do you know if you are pointing to the correct IP?

If you click the browser refresh immediately does it then work?

After a timeout with the non-www version work immediately?

    Windows, Linux, Apache...... ?

Yes, I know. I have sent you in PM, I didn't post it here, as these are not allowed on DP.

Yes, I am pointing to correct IP.

Yes, its immediately working with non-www version.

I think maybe you have duplicate named zone or the zone file doesn't have the www A record.

You need to have a look at your DNS as the nameservers listed for the domain are different to those in the zone file, doubt that's your problem though.

Has this ever worked or did it work and then just stop working?

I'd say something is blocking access, a firewall or the like, however I don't see why the www version would file while the non-www version works from the same place.

If on your PC you open cmd.exe and run nslookup yourdomain.com do you get it return an IP, that being the correct one of course?
