    Hey all,

Just thought I would start a discussion going on creating Website Networks, primaraly blogs hosted on multiple Class C IP's.

I want to know your thoughts and experience on this method whether they be good or Bad. I'm particulary interested in Canoical's thoughts on this.

    Argue away guys :)

In moderation it can be effective. Bear in mind though that the more websites you have the more work it takes to maintain them. You may quickly reach a point of diminishing returns.

On the other hand, having 2 or 3 strong websites can serve as a catalyst to get new sites up and running.

To much interlinking of a network of sites will quickly be discovered by the SE's. Whether or not this leads to penalties is open to question - at least for us small guys.

Network is better than a single site. Don't interlink the whole network and also link to pages outside of your network. As willybfriendly said, if you are building the whole network on your own, remember to think about the work that it takes to maintain them before launching 50 blogs with too little content.
