How exactly are you taking collateral?

 

I believe that some of the bad apples ruin the internet's reputation for the rest of us. I've work with many webmaster that has nothing but the highest integrity.

Anyone serious about becoming successful in the online market must maintain their integrity and honesty on a consistent basis.

However, I do agree that one needs to do their due diligence when doing business with others online.

Most of our deals involve the borrower transferring their domain and a copy of files to our servers until such time as the loan is paid in full.

We pride ourselves in being flexible with webmasters and as such we tend to be flexible with our payment terms.

I think this answers that question, and in fact reverses it. Will anyone trust them? I know I've built my site way to much to trust someone I don't know with this for a small $300 loan. But for those looking to begin their site I think that could be very different.

Point well taken. The individual borrowing the funds is also at risk if the lender does not return the domain as promised. Although we are a relatively new company we plan on operating for the long-term and as such our reputation and integrity are vital to our survival online. Anyone who was worked with us so far can attest that we do business in a professional and ethical manner.
