Website is Indexed - Organic Traffic Dropped To 0

I attach here a picture of one of my websites and the organic traffic that has fallen to zero. Google Webmaster Tools hasn't found any errors, my webpages are indexed, my content is totally unique. I have no idea what is going on.

I think you need to look at which keywords you are targeting.

Maybe people are not searching for the keywords you are being found for.

My very first question to you is are you doing reciprocal link exchange ? If yes than check it out.

Because the same instance has been happen with one of my client, one of the link exchanger partners site was banned by google.

My target keywords are those in the article titles. They almost all are in the average search volume, meaning top position should yield about 50-100 uniques/day for a single keyword.

I don't do reciprocal link exchange. I only have one way backlinks. Either from web directory submission or from people who linked to my article.

For certain articles I have spent days researching most important and beneficial information and seeing all this work evaporate into thin air makes my mood uber bad...

 

Do you monitor your SE rankings?

If you're still ranking highly, then no one is searching for your keywords.

But for such a sudden drop off, your rankings must have been hit. Do you have a competitor who has beaten you to number one spot?

 

I never was first for any of these keywords, but many keywords were in the top 10 or top 20 positions. I monitor some of my web pages rankings and they all dropped like a rock. As you see I get 0-5 daily uniques from google. I had better results when I wrote my first article on the website.

Usually you rank for a lot of keywords you don't even aim, or searchers find your website after some digging... My website has about 50.000-100.000 content words, spread across 70 different UNIQUE articles.

Naturally I lost the majority of website earnings because of this crash and am eager to implement whatever necessary, but I don't know what that is...

 

Sounds like some other sites have got some backlinks pointing at them, which has increased their rankings.

Could also be that some sites linking to yours have taken a dive in their rankings and you are suffering a knock on effect.

Better do some link building!

 

Maybe the problem consist somewhere in the domain, are you doing any redirects, have you studied where your main trafic comes from?

If not, the first thing you have to check is if there are not any problems with the domain, redirects and such on. Second, research from where is your visitors normally coming from, in your case this will be before 17 March right? Maybe some very juice-brining link dropped, or has been removed.

Why are you not discussing where the traffic originated before the drop off date? Can you take a look at your webalizer stats or analytics and see where the majority of visitors were coming from?

I still have up to 300 uniques per day from other referral websites, so naturally the majority of visitors come from these websites. The above picture given in first post was for google organic traffic and how it dropped. 5 months back I had 400 uniques from google per day and only 30% of content. I was writing more and more, but the traffic was only dropping to somewhere around 200 uniques per day where it stood most of the time during the next months. I was building back links, many of my inner pages are of pr2 and pr3, so I figured I was just in a sandbox and receiving only 200 uniques per day. Now I dropped like a rock to 0 uniques from google organic search.

-www and my old blogspot.com domain are all being redirected and pointed to www.bustathief.com since half a year, so I don't think its a redirect issue.

 

With that kind of crappy code I am astonished that you are not banned forever.

your site has dropped in google searches for some reason. It may be that you need to update your content more often to keep the traffic rolling in.

 

try also to look the code of your site, maybe there are something you take out of place accidentally and didn't notice..

 

It's not because of that, I implemented that title because blogger indexes the blog title first before the post title... So I was looking for a workaround but looks like there is none. That was done yesterday, I changed it back right now, so title is not the reason.

Error may for sure be in some part of the code as its not the cleanest around, but I couldn't find anything that would cause trouble.

check your number of links per page ... i suppose google has spoted your blog as "Link selling Blog"

About the ads: That is not an issue, I have other websites which generate a two digit CTR and they are perfectly fine.

You may however be right about the links per page...that is insane...on my main website there really are many links because of my recent post! And this recent post is also indexed AS the main page. I was writing a resource and collected links from affiliate networks which can be trusted (at least to a certain extent). What does everyone else think? Should I implement a no-follow tag?

same thing happened to me and my traffic fell from 180 to 5-8 per day.

has not improved till date.... my problem was coz i had changed my meta tags so.....did u change anything during this period....maybe some new settings etc

 

I improved every aspect of it now. That is, how much blogger.com allows, because its hosted there. Most importantly I changed the links to nofollow as this really seems the most reasonable issue.

I guess I have nothing but to wait now and post a few more articles, to regain thrust.
