There is a website, which copies my content, word to word, link to link for each post. I suppose, its getting RSS feed and copying it entirely.

Would it have negative impact on my ranking due to duplicate content?

How to stop that? I dont see any contact info in their website.

    Please help.

To contact the site owner, lookup the whois on the domain:

whois.domaintools.com/badwebsite.com (replace badwebsite.com with the actual domain)

Look for the email contact, and mail them asking them to either take it down, or shorten what they've copied, and provide a link back to your site for the full article.

Wait about 7 days, and if that doesn't work, contact their hosting company (you may be able to identify this by the nameservers listed in the whois record), send them a DMCA notice (free templates available online), and the host could / should remove the content.

Also, you can send a DMCA takedown notice to search engines, and they will remove the content from their results.

As far as it hurting your rankings -- maybe, but probably not in the way that you're thinking. If the offending site outranks yours (has more trust / clout / SE presence, etc), it may siphon some of the visitors from your website to theirs through search engines due to a higher ranking for the content. Basically, the other site might rank at #2 for certain keywords in your article whereas you might rank #3 or #6. However, there's no guarantee that you would rank #2 in this example even if the other site didn't steal your content. Hopefully you understand the difference there.

It's frustrating to no end when somebody steals your content, especially if they're located in some foreign land that doesn't care too much about copyright, or the hosting company waits for a court order to take down content instead of the initial takedown notice.

    Good luck.

Protect your content now, and contact the owner of that site, and find a solution.

Is it useful to file to DMCA? How long does it take?

I'm also wondering if DMCA could help. Can anyone clarify this.
