I have a website located at http://www.freeappleipodtouch.com, and it appears 7th in Google search results for the term "free iPod Touch". Is there a way I can improve the ranking? I have much more content, the website in the first result only has a page of content. My website doesn't advertise "free iPod Touch", but it has content/tutorials/news related to the iPod Touch, and it receives more traffic than the websites in the first 3 results anyway. How do I improve my ranking for this term? I don't really want to put any "free iPod" type posts on my website, because then I would probably lose visitors.
First off I want to mention how well your site looks I am very impressed with how you have it layed out. I'm assuming your getting your income from the Adsense ads built into the site. My best suggestion to get your search rank up in Google would be to buy some text links on high traffic sites. You said you don't want to promote your site as free ipod touch because you would lose visitors since its not actually giving away a free ipod touch. I think if you were to get some text links with a sentence such as "Free iPod Touch Tutorials and Games" you would be clear that your not getting a Free iPod Touch yet you would still be able to move your site up in the Google rankings with the "Free iPod Touch" term embeded in your text link. Thats my 2 cents.
