We have a website that is not being indexed by both Bing and Yahoo even though we can see the site being crawled within the Bing Webmaster account. Its been several months now since we claimed the website by uploading the token and submitting a sitemap. We also verified the robots.txt file is working. The .htaccess is setup correctly to crawl every page but still the site is not being indexed. If you take a look at the Google SERPS the website is indexed just fine. Here is the domain I'm referring to: www.valbridge.com Take a look at the Bing Webmaster crawl report. It shows the site being crawled but not indexed. Does anyone have any tips that will help our site get indexed?
Hi, I would start by signing up to Bing webmaster central in there under Crawl Control you can set what rate and time of day your site is crawled, bearing in mind that if it is left on standard it will take a long time to crawl and index your site. Also, Submit an XML sitemap. Any errors that pop up during the processing of the sitemap will help you diagnose the problem. Check your log files. See if BingBot or MSNBot show up in the logs. If they don't, then your site's not getting crawled. Check robots.txt - any chance the site's outright blocking them? Have a nice day Hope this will help you.
You obviously did not read my post or look at the photo I posted. It clearly shows the Bing webmaster crawl tool so obviously we have an account already.
