I am a paranormal researcher, and have been putting together a website. I really need some reviews on this for this is the first "real" website that I have done (I have done a few for several people however they are just local site, and don't matter much) Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Here are my opinions, the banner should be improved and you should avoid bloody typeface because paranormal not always related with violence, murder, horror, vampire, werewolf etc. Paranormal could be part of metaphysics or spiritual, so that why bloody type face is not match with paranormal theme.
I think your site is fantastic, I hope lots of people will visit it so I can hear some other peoples stories, If you're interested at all I posted one of my stories. I'm actually quite interested in paranormal matters. Keep up the good work!
Please no animated banners. The navigation menu bar is nice but the layout can be improved and more organized. Also, your color scheme is difficult on the eyes. I think it's best to lay off the ads, especially in the beginning because it turns off many visitors and cheapens the look of your site.
By laying off of the ads, do you mean alot less, or completly no ads for the next month or until I start getting a certain number of visitors? I went with the black and red because that is the colors of my paranormal research group but if it is hard on the eyes then I will adjust alot can you recommend colors that would be appeasing to the masses? I more than greatly appreciate the input, and you will see that I am actually changing it as per everyones suggestions. I am not a web developer so this is wonderful help you all are giving me.
Now it looks better But try to use different font for header, because currently it's really hard to read.
