Hi, I bought a domain about 10 years ago with the idea to make frutas.com the ebay of fruit importers and exporters but it never happened. So now im wondering what to do with this site, currently i have nothing on it, and i have just found this amazing site showing how people is making money with their sites. I know that i will find answers to most of my questions by using the search button. But what would you do if owned this site?it is a generic name that with no advertisement at all had some decent visits in the last 5 years. any ideas are appreciated, Thanks in advanced
Frutas is the plural form of the Spanish word "fruit" right? Why don't you make a website that has a whole bunch of fruit related recipes on it? It would be fairly easy to mix some effective adsense in with this kind of site. Or you could use it to sell a related ebook. Just a thought :-P
Do recipes and ebooks. Make it a blog, i don't know? Require RSS Subscriptions before getting the "ultimate" ebook .
Recipe Website is a good idea with this domain. U can make a Blog and Post all type of Fruit recipes or U can search U tube Fruit recipe video and post on your Blog. Video recipe is most effective and people like to see this. or else U can Sell Ebooks about Fruit Recipe.

The poeple above me have offered excellent ideas - though, instead of an "ultimate" eBook, I would maybe think about selling a hard copy recipe book. When it comes to recipe (ie. kitchen) books, I much prefer them in hard copy. I don't want my laptop anywhere near where cooking/baking is going on.
I just checked your site on estibot.com - and the estimate domain value shows as $18,000! Yes I know its an automated domain valuation thingy - but it's also one that seems to be closest to a manual site valuation. Google keyword tool (GKT) estimates the searches for frutas to be 33,100/mth and frutas.com to be 22,000/mth fruta.info is for sale for $1900, estibot values that site at $8,100 and the monthly searches are 33,100/mth according to google keyword tool. So back to the question... Look at the google ads on your site - that should tell you what you can put on there. Also do a google search and see what site show up - what are they selling, and what arent they selling. Check the keywords on GKT that go with the site and see what else you can come up with. But I guess I should say it's not worth anything at all & I'll take it off your hands for a hundred bucks - hahahahahahaha
