    Hi,

I have a really great domain, one that if I set up really well I'll be able to sell for a couple of million in about a year from now.
Anyway, you'd all be aware of Twitter, Youtube, Facebook and RSS icons you come across on other websites. Usually they're a small web 2.0 glossy round edged square thingy. Twitters it T with a blue background. Facebook F with a dark blue background, Youtube have Youtube written and RSS use the bends with an orange background.

Anyway, I guess for the type of site I have, not porn, that I couldn't really get away with having my whole sites name, the name is fine, I just would keep it the way I've created it, I've changed two of the letters of the name which turns the whole name into a really cool header/icon for other similar niche sites. Yet in trying to market the site and having these emblems on other peoples sites, I can't see it working if I have my emblem as the icon, mainly because some people will just look at it and go no, therefore I'd need 2 icons, 1 for cimilar niche sites which is cool and another new one.

Is it really essential to have some form of that icon, the new one, on your website, like lets say for example, I use a frown circle and to make the square its trippy colours from where the circle would end. Yet then upon arriving at the site not seeing that anywhere may make some people think they miss clicked and hit back and do it again.

So is there a way to get around this? I have a '1st time?' page that's always visible, maybe the second emblem could be the icon next the or behind the '1st time?' page/banner? Or am I better just taking two letters and making a single icon for the whole web, that way it's properly branded? Only if I do this I'm worried I'll have to change my current site banner and emblem? Is it really worth me rdoing 2 for random second visiors that just click a second icon cause it's cool looking, or is this wasted oppurtunities?

Is there someonewhere I can go to consult people and get a whole bunch of ideas without necessarily sharing my site with millions of potential people reading a thread, like if I asked for design ideas, most people take my main idea and come up with alterations, maybe I need 'fresh' ideas?

    Advice?

Unfortunately no one can guess properly or suggest anything until you show your site or say site name or write the theme in detail. Will back to see your next posting.

I cant really imagine the icon you are describing no matter how hard I try. But if you need to consult other people who knows better then try using fiverr. There are lots of gigs that involves design and maybe you can even get that icon to be designed rather than to be consulted.
