website I bought associated with old account

    Hello

    I bought a website last month, and it has recenlty gotten 6k+ pages indexed by google, so therefore I would like to add it to the coop. I tried to register it, but it said that this site is already on another account. I contacted the seller, and he said that the account probably belonged to the owner before him. He said does not know how to get in touch with that person. What do I need to do to prove that I am the owner of this website, and be able to get it on the coop? The website is www.rapfx.com

    I emailed that address, and this is the response I got.


    "I'm actually not the one with the coop account for the site... the other person who owned the site with me owns it, unfortunately I haven't talked to him since we sold the site months ago..."


    Should I have him email you? Thanks for the help

    That email address is the one associated with the account. If they don't know their login/password, they can email it to themselves.

    Hi. I suggested this. They said that they did this and that they did not get any info for RapFX.com.

    "I know I have 2 accounts, I have 3 sites in there total, TheSquaredCircle.com, ChiTownTalk.com and IdolBoards.com... RapFX.com is nowhere to be found."


    any thoughts on what to do now?

    He is wrong. Tell him to log into his account with the username of mattred and change the base URL.

    I told him this, and he says "I deleted the only URL in there, ChiTownTalk.com..."

    would you mind just emaling him direct and confirming he doesnt own this site.. and just resetting it?

    He's lying because the URL for matrred was changed (which also means you should be able to create a new account for it).
