Say I want to promote a product which promises a "full nights sleep for those who have trouble with it" for example via article marketing but want to do it using my own site, not so much from submitting to ezines and others. How do I go about doing this because I've seen some people set up .com sites whereas others develop .info sites and I'm not too sure of the difference and which is preferable for what I'm aiming to do here. Thanks.

So you want to buy a domain?

Find a web hosting company like www.godaddy.com
Buy a desired domain name, put some content there. Then post articles in article directories and link them to your website.

Should I buy a .info site or what type for what I'm trying to do? What should I name it? Like aren't .info sites just sub sites that can be tacked onto main sites or no?

.com and .net are much preferable.
.info is nice too but 2 above are what most people use.

Do you all set up different sites for each product you're promoting then? Or do you set up one big site with different branches...? Probably a stupid question, i know but thanks for the help!

    hey,

use a different URL for different niches. You can promote the same types of products on the same site.

eg. dont promote penis enlargement and sweing on the same site :)

If you are going to promote using your own landing page to advertise on PPC then you should either stick to promoting the one product, or have a review of a few products. make sure 1 of the products stands out.
    eg. product 1 - rating 10/10
    product 2 - rating 4/10
    product 3 - rating 4/10
    product 4 - rating 3/10

    hope this helps you.
