Dear friends, I really like browsing this forum but I was recently shocked to find am already a member here since long . Anyway to cut long story short, My website has been banned from AdSense for a very stupid reason. We have approx 35000 Impressions/Day and with adsense we had 30000 Clicks per month on an average. We have more than 4L unique visitors a month. Adsense used to pay us approx $2 per CPM, which amounted to around $70 - $90 a day. I am very confused as to how to go about monitizing it again. My website is liveindia.com , We have been planning to launch our own advertising campaign and get direct clients who used to advertise on our site but also not leaving out Affiliate programs as an option. Which affliate will be best option for us after adsense which can generate same kind of revenue for us even a little less will do. The problem is our site has lot of pages which have all been made in HTML and it is a huge task to change ads on them all. We can hire people to do it for us. But we need to be sure about the program we join should be able to provide us with same kind of revenue. I am thinking of Putting up and affliate and also go for Direct customers side by side now. Now I have been reading that adbrite just pays 0.2$ for 1000 Impressions. Isnt that too less compared to $2 of google we used to get. Not to forget google paid us for CPC am mentioning CPM here because thats what i have been reading everywhere on this forum. Also i wanted to know if we have 35000 Impressions per day and 1000 clicks will we just be paid 0.2$X35=$7? or will we paid more for clicks too? Please guide and teach me thanks in advance.
All I can say is what a huge shame you had your Adsense account closed?... You won't find anything that pays as well, but there are other options out there of course..
Try clickbank / cj and search some programs suitable for your niche/site ... or search for afiliates programs in your niche As for Adsense in PPC is the best rest doesn't even compare ...
I'm by no means an expert, but I would think you have a couple of options. There are definitely other advertising agencies who may not pay as well as adsense, but would still generate some decent revenue. From the affiliate program side of things, I think it would depend on the content of your site and how much time you want to put into it. If you can find relevant affiliates that align with your site content, you could make some decent cash. You would have to give it a try and monitor to see what works and what doesn't. If your content doesn't align well with any affiliates then I would definitely pursue alternate advertisers. One other option that just came to mind is to sell advertising on your own. Set up an advertise here page and come up with some rates. Then you can approach companies that align with your content and sell them ad space on your site. That's a lot of work though. As for your site being all HTML, you should get that fixed regardless of what route you go. Making the site more dynamic would offer you a tremendous amount of benefit. Being able to dynamically change your advertising options would allow you to try different revenue approaches easily.
You can sell direct ads through adbrite. Its revenue will increase over time when your advertisers notice that the clicks convert. You can even make more than what Adsense was paying. You may try to sell ads directly without an ad network. But don't rely on it.
Since we have a good number of Travel Destinations covered on our site i was thinking of putting up affliate program from makemytrip, yatra and likes. Will these companies show interest in direct advertisment on monthly basis on all our travel sites? or they just work with affiliates? How is Commision Junction? Also I have still not got clarity about
personally, after adsense i would prefer to go with adbrite tried bidvertiser a way back & they counted any clicks seems more of a fraud site to me with adbrite you can earn some good bucks but no one can offer as good earnings as adsense TBH
You should get yourself an ad-manager script. With that, you will have one central point to change all your ads. This is how it works. In the ad manager script, you create a position, say "Header ads". The script will then give you a piece of code to paste into the page where you want the ads to appear. In this case, in the header for all your pages. Now, in the ad manager script, you also create a banner, to be put in the place created above, "Header ads". Let's call our first banner for Banner1. You can either create your own banners or simply insert the ad code from one of the advertising networks, like Ad-brite. When a visitor comes to your site, the site will ask the ad manager script what banner to fill the position "Header ads" with and will get the response to please use Banner1. And the visitor will see Banner1 in the header. Now it becomes interesting, if you want to change your ads, you do not have to go into every singe one of your pages. Instead you simply go into you ads manager, create a new Banner, say Banner2, and disable the Banner1 from running and instead activate Banner2. Within a few seconds, all your visitors will now see Banner2 instead. There are also functions for having multiple banners showing randomly in the same spot. Say you create five banners and they can all rotate randomly in your Hedar ads spot. All handled with ease with a good ad manager script. A good ad manager script will probably cost you around $50 as a one time license fee, and then free to use on as many sites you want. For your setup, I would really recommend it. If you have further questions regarding this, feel free to PM me.
I agree with you and I would also go with direct advertisement. It generates larger profits if you get some regular clients.
