Do you think if I buy an adsense website from Ebay, it'll give me some revenue?

Oh. Can anyone post some tutorials on how to make a good adsense site? I have no clue how a "good" adsense site looks like.

I had the same thought when i started out. Ohh how i would of slapped myself.

Try looking at designing a good website in a topic your interested in, get some good traffic then implement adsense.

I wouldn't try making a site *for* adsense. Worry more about content. As huntz said, make a site about a topic you're interested in. Good content will bring quality traffic to your site. You might even want to abstain from putting ads on right away while your site grows. Once you're receiving a healthy amount of daily visitors, then start putting ads on. If they don't perform well, you can always ask here for ideas on better placement.

It's usually pretty easy to tell right away when a site was made for the sole purpose of putting ads on it. When that happens, many people are quick to click the back button, and are reluctant to mention the site to others. A site full of content and information on the other hand is more likely to be read by visitors, and if the content is great, visitors are more likely to tell others about the site.

I know most of the adsense sites on ebay give you the impression that you will start making instant money, but this usually just isn't true. Making money with adsense generally requires quality content, and time.

well, i bought a site from ebay as a test to see how much i could earn. not one of those "197 sites for $5", but the "1 site for $180". i am adding my own content to it in a form of a blog every week.

The only way on ebay to buy a website, is to spend the next two weeks checking each auction, each website for sale.
This is one: to give you an idea of what is for sale
two: so you can see just how many sites are the same (cookie cutter)
three: so you can learn to cut through the hype some sellers put out (good is not to even mess with any seller using hype!)

Once you have learned which sites are cookie cutter (like all those sites for sale for credit repair, ebook sales, software sales, etc) and which are not, you can then find a site that you will enjoy promoting and making money with.

Just last night I was browing through the very same section on ebay. Most of the sites I came accross were total rubbish. Especially these packages you find there that come with 30+ websites. Waste of money. I would not recommend it.

So how perfect must your web template be? If it is perfect, will it attract more people to your site? Can someone post an example for a site that makes good revenue through Google Adsense?

If it's just a template you're after, then by all means, go with some templates off of ebay (although with a little searching, you can find many for free).

The content is what's really going to matter when it comes down to making money through adsense. Where people often get burned is buying one an 'adsense website' that claims to come complete with content etc etc and imply that the only thing you need to do is put up your own ads. The exception might be websites offering services (for example, file hosting services, proxy services, etc), which don't really need content to bring visitors.

But if it's really just a template you're after (planning on adding your own content), then you should be able to find a lot of free templates out there, or you could even consider going with a CMS (like Joomla or something).
