Website for review

Hi Guys

I was wondering if anyone fancied reviewing my website. TalesFromWork.com

Basically the site is a community to allow people to share, discuss and laugh about work...Hopefully can get this off the ground by getting more n more people signed up!!

The orange is a bit bright. The text is quite small too. It might just be me because I've had little sleep and can't really see that well anyway

 

I suggest choose a dark color for the font on the top bar to contrast the light orange.

 

Yup the orange is a popular problem, although gonna have to stick with it for a wee while yet! Mind you doesnt look too bad if you keep coming back to it! Kinda grows on ya!

 

Change orange text to blue or black

 

For me. the text which isn't black, is VERY hard to read.

 

Great idea for a site! I like the look.

 

The orangy (am color blind) color is a bit light and as the top navigation bar is a bit difficult to read.. But it could be my large resolution and color blindness.. Other than that, the layout is simple and overall well orgainized.

I am curious though. How did you create the "Recent Threads" section in phpBB? Is that a mod? I would appreciate any direction on this. Thanx!

My next challenge is to get some nice people to sign up to the site.....

Yup including the new ReUnite feature that's just been added.....to give people the chance of old workmates getting in touch with you for FREE!!!

Still not changed the Orange yet, altough looking into, but changed the diificult to read orange text people didnt like, to a darker colour, hopefulyl make it easier to read!!!

 

Yep it looks great, that forum skin was made by my ex-love... or something like that! It's for phpBB, "Oh-ahh Orange" I think that's what he named it.

That's correct, it's part of the SkyLine series from Volize Web Design, and that particular one is "Ooh-Ah Orange" That's what the ex named it, lol.

 

hehehe Thats mad, imagine picking a theme that someone's Ex had designed!!! nice one!!! Well I like it, its quite good!!!

 

It looks normal enough. I wish you success with it. I would not find it of any interest, but I'm sure there are many who would.

 

Lol, I believe someone else designed the original and he just changed the color to orange, I see a fourth color is out now in that series.
