Website for Review: New Design Just Uploaded

Hey Guys:

I would like to know what you think on my site, AdvertiseSpace.com. I have just completely redesigned the site.

 

It looks good, kinda dim. I don't really understand though why people put ads on places they provide services.

Probably just cause if you are running AdSense on a service based site then you are essentially advertising and directing your potential customers to your competition.

 

Yeah I see what you mean. I mainly put that ad there in order to fill that space until I get some people to buy link space.

 

The font is too small, it may discourage first time visitors (it almost did for me). Also call me old fashion, but I perfere to have any large graphics at the top and not in the middle, that is where I look for the 'meat' of the page not a jpeg.

needs better logo & header. Also header is not the width of website.

whether we like it or not people respond to hooks and simplicity. I would change the site headline and focus on the unique idea. Something along the lines of "Advertise Space - The REAL way to promote your business". Many businesses hate the word advertising as it is usualy associated to spending money without results or poor ROI. Get yourself a usable hook slogan "Serious people know the benefits" or similar. Please forgive me poor efforts but I am sure you get what I am getting at.
I would also add a 3rd colour to make the site welcoming. Its always easy to say that message is the key, but in my experience if a site is visualy boring it will in itself put visitors off.

 

i signed up as a publisher, this looks promising and nothing to loose. i reckon you could liven up the front page, although its very simple design and i kinda like it, just maybe a little something instead of all the white space and not make it end before the bottom of the screen, i dont like when thats done.

 

I think that the layout is pretty neat. You need to optimize the buttons though.

You should be aware of the competition on internet now,your design looks less professional...as an adevrtising service you need a real design.Design matters alot.... a rich design attracts more clients and give them trust....

 

The page looks pretty bland. You need to work some graphics into it.

 

I think it's good and to the point, maybe you could jazz it up and make it look a little more interesting.

 

i think if you can lighten up left grey nav background,blue text would be more readable...

 

i really like the theme of the website but need more to do in programming
