Website Flipping

Hello Everyone,

I have read stories about people making a living from Website Flipping, and claiming to make $150,000 a year.

Is this possible? And what are the basics to website flipping?

This is the first time I hear about such a thing, could you enlight me a little bit?

 

Buy webpage X that's not making any money and is because of this very cheap, you fix it (monetize, SEO, etc) and sell for a lot more money.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, I heard that you can also buy websites cheap with no traffic, buy traffic to that site, increase the stats and then sell it on for more, is that true?

 

I have flipped (e.g. quick turnaround for little money) just 2 of sites, more by accident than planning. I bought 2 lapsed domains which had content on that niche already indexed. I added a blog using automated content. I sold the sites for $500 each in just over a year or owning them as we had been indexed for a fair few pages. As they were automated sites I didnt have to put any effort so saw it as an easy return. I know wonder whether I should have kept them to make them more valuable but this industry has taught me if you get an offer you are happy to take then take it. I was approached for the sites by someone who had a retail site in that area and wanted all my traffic to go to them - he wanted an affiliate deal but I said I would sell the sites and he bought them.

If you are going to get into flipping sites then really think about who you will sell it to... try and go for a niche of value to a retailer - well it worked for me

Website flipping can be very profitable, you just need to know some of the secrets to making your flipped sites worth a lot more money! There are many ways to do it but only a few "right" ways to truly maximize the value of your site!
