What is generally better for making money online, in the long-run? Flipping websites, or being a domainer (flipping undeveloped domain names)?
well i dont know actually, which is better.. I think its the same aslong as your flipping, and it depends on what domain or site are you gonna flip in next..
Both of them are for making money in your spare time. No guarantee that you will make money for life with either website flipping or domain flipping. It comes to my experience that website flipping 1-3 months old are sold at $100-$200. You will need to think about the money you need to invest, how long will I mature first before you invest into website flipping.
Flipping websites is probably easier. Flipping domains used to be pretty easy (3-5 years ago), but the domain market has become pretty saturated over the last couple years and it's made it very difficult to make good money unless you really know what you're doing.
The domain market may be saturated -- but, when compared to flipping fully-formed websites, flipping domains involves a lot less actual work... So it's easier money, even if it is harder to come by. As mentioned earlier, domains were once a real gold mine. Sadly, that's no longer the case.
^ I'm going to second that. Domains are easy and were less work.. because domains have been eaten up it's way more work to find good ones to flip.. unless you have secrets to new companies opening up the domain is already eaten up by people who are looking to do it. Flipping a site takes more work, but it's not as saturated because it's "harder."
There are really quite comparable when you are talking about them as a business model. However, you will probably earn more from flipping websites just because you are giving the buyer a lot more for their money. But it also takes more work from your end.
exactly, right now, most people who go register 10 "good" available domains will be lucky to sell even 1 of those names for $100+, which means you are spending a lot of time to make minimal money (even if you really know what you are doing)
I agreed with those who say website flipping.. Not only can you earn money from selling the complete site but also through affiliations sales and/or ads.
You can consider to do both if you have time, diversify your income is the best way to go. Personally, I prefer web flipping which I think easier and predictable business.
Website flipping is generally much faster but it all depends on the skill of the person. For domain flipping, it is more towards long term investment because appreciation for the domain can take some time and it all depends on luck as well. When it comes to work, domain flipping only involves researching while website flipping has to move towards designing.
Hi, I think website flipping is easier than domain flipping. However, there is more work involved in website flipping and you need to provide bonuses such as Premium website template, autoblogging plugins to entice people to buy your website. You need to invest money upfront.
website flipping might be easier but you can make greater profit by flipping domains in the long run if you know a few tricks of trade
I think website flipping is much better if you have a creative design skill or if you have access to development team. As people mentioned, the domain flipping is saturated. Every two or three words domain is taken. So the market outlook is better for the website flipping.
Domains flipping was easy in the past but today it is hard to find a value domain name so i prefer website flipping, if the content of the website is good with great design, reader, PR, ect, you can earn a lot of money by choosing this "business".
I would give a vote to website flipping over domain. Website flipping is much easier to do and sell compared to domain flipping. You have to aware that many buyers are not technical geeks and they may not understand the value of domain by just providing fact and data sheet. However, many buyers even not a geek can understand website value easier by looking a few factors like - Website Age / Revenue Method / Alexa Ranking / Number of Traffics.
