i've been running www.heartheissues.com for about 8 months now. the website currently: -has 434 links in google -has ~250 pages -gets 600 uniques per day -PR5 -has a ~250 person mailing list -has a small new forum, 50+ users and about 900 posts. how can i find out how much this website might be worth if sold, including the domain, mailing list, etc? i have never had it appraised by anyone, be it on a forum or otherwise, and i'm just trying to get an idea what it might be worth.
What kind of earnings does the site generate, you have adsense on there so I presume it makes something for the site.
income is about $350 adsense monthly, about $300 monthly from affiliate programs, and about $450 monthly from text link sales.
Other stats aside I have heard the figure 12 times monthly earnings mentioned in threads like this before. However, I know nada about selling websites so don´t take my word for that.
nice site i would say.. u could probably go for more than 12 months.. just because the potential is huge
i'd rather take advantage of the full potential myself, but i've been stuck at a plateau for a few months now
Valuation is all about what you can convience someone to pay. Take the US goverment; everyday they purchase $1000 toliet seats and $300 hammers. If you had those salesmen working on selling your site you might be looking at some serious money. Perception is reality....
@ dpakman91 I just started http://TheReformProject.com (it is not nearly ready to be used yet, as i'm still in the middle of building 4 other web sites (most are in my sig)), and it looks like we have a common interest. I publish content using a proprietary content publishing system that i developed (and lease out), but was considering creating another version of it for multi-user web publishing to the same account (website), and so i was just curious if you may be interested in working on political issues. I won't blame you if you're not interested; it is always a mess, and at some point, can be conflicting. The point of this website is (also iterated on the front page) to POINT OUT the errors in our system, then point out the ways that we can FIX THEM, and propose working drafts for petitions, with the assistance of any lawyers who volunteer some of their time, or with my own (lame) legal research (i'm pretty good at it, for someone who has never had a formal education in the field, but i hate doing it, as the research consumes so much free time, which is why this site has the lowest priority of all of my sites...).
You can also try www.websiteappraised.com There are some useful information over and above the appraisal you can get.
All I know is you shouldn't settle on any price with those numbers.... I'm thinking with the amount of money you earned on that, I'd say well over $10,000
I totally agree. The advantage of using appraising services, such as websiteappraised.com is that you can see the links, backlinks, and much more other relevant information on the website you want to buy.
