What website (html) editor do you guys use. I was using a pirated version of dreamweaver but felt bad using it without paying so I deleted it. I mostly just use wordpad, but my sites are so limited with it.

My isp and host of almost 10 years offers no online development tools, you guys know of any free or really cheap good website design tools ? Thanks

I just use the one built into my Cuteftp straight on my server. Dreamweaver MX is alright but i never really need to code that much.

I use Dreamweaver MX, it suits my needs. I always suggest that you test the softwares before buying and choose the one that suits YOU most, not what is advertised as "industry standard", it doesn't matter what you use as long as you get the job done!

    In the corporate world.
A company that has a license for dreamweaver.
Get it from that person or company.
Heck, companies get licenses for 100, 1000, 10000 copies of the software and rarely use 75% of them.
My son's company, being bankrolled by HP, Sony and others, buy licenses to all products and get at least 10,000 licenses (not for all their computers, but for their customers).

Notepad ++. I'd link to it, but I don't have the rep yet.

It's legit freeware. Kinda buggy, and it takes some configuration, but it does what I want it to so that's all I ask.

Started with Notepad and then moved onto Frontpage which I had trouble with and then moved to Dreamweaver MX (my current option) which I found easy to deal with. All of this when using a PC. I did try Linux for a while and used Bluefish (I think its called that).

I have since turned to using an Apple Mac and use Dreamweaver MX and BBedit. I mainly do the layout in Dreamweaver and then hand code the rest which seems to me to be the easy way to do it - getting the layout is usually the hardest thing IMHO.

I did try Nvu which is free, very powerfull and is useable with all PC, Linux and Mac - its a bit of a Dreamweaver clone and not to bad, but I paid for MX so I'll use it.
