Friends, i was wondering if anyone cud give me a realistic reply: if there is a recipe website with unlimited recipes, of almost whatever cud come to anyones mind, say more than 50k recipes, what cud you think of the price for such a site? not only recipes, but also a host of other things in connection with kitchen and cooking.
depends... are these 50K all original or just a collection from here and there? is it organised well? what kind of food receipe is it? (American, Mexican, Arabian...etc) any pictures? what script does it use? ...etc of unlimited question, but the most important question is: HOW MUCH TRAFFIC
It could have tons of recipes and tons of everything else, but like abboodeh said, if it has no traffic it really isn't worth too much at the current moment. In time could be worth a fortune, but you never know
Well, for argument's sake, let's put a figure on the traffic. Say 7k uniques a month - not tooooo hard to achieve, but not massive either.
thanks friends :0) answers to ur few questions -all of them can't be original, very few things/articles on web r original, rest are all rewrote. but in this case, it will carry the credits. -kind, almost all kinds, cultural, country, occassions, health wise, whatever cud come to ur mind. -script, am still thinking for the one, may be joomla, or xhtml -traffic, a couple of friends in the business has given their green to help me out in marketing of the same, marketing on all media available. and i guess (am not too sure as am quite a toddler in this trade) traffic is available at different forums, ofcourse at the cost of some $$, for which hopefully am gonna do request in a while. plus, there will be host of another features out there, like, kitchen tips, cooking terminology, home remedies, help for all cooking appliances, weights and mesurements and more to come.
If the site uses a turnkey script, about $30. If the site has a unique theme, unique content (no one else has the same recipes), some visitors, and backlinks in Google, than about $300. It would have to be REALLY well known for it to be worth more.
- unique??? i mean if the niche is something out the world + a reasonable amount of traffic, and the contents are unique (guys holdon, be realistic, how many articles on the web are original? 80% of them are rewrote) than i guess something like $2k? might be high/low but in this world everything is depends on right promotion + good stuff.
but do u agree that traffic is always available in return for some $$ + other sources as well? only have to dig out for the rite amount of traffic, i guess!!!!
