I have a website that has been top rankings for about 4 years now for its related keywords

But checking google today, my website is no where to be seen not even if i put in nearly the complete url?

What would have caused google to drop the site like this?

The site is a forum regarding satellite information.

yeah the drops in Google PR is result of a data management abstraction layer Google has implemented recently to improve its search algorithm, even giant websites were affected by this I mension here EnGadget.com Statcounter.com from 10 to 6 ! ;Search Engine Journal from 7 to 4 ! and many others..

they add new filters to seive attempts illegal attempts to boost PR

that change was made bye an expert from an American university

"What people are reacting to is the first of a series of waves of Google technology designed to eliminate abuse, increase the type of ads that are available and, of course, Google's monetization," Stephen Arnold told eWEEK Oct. 26.

I think the term "black hat SEO" will disappear from dictionary sooner or later
