    Hi,

My client wants me to improve their website as it's not working for their business.
They're not getting enquiries through it and no interest.

    Website's address is http://www.euroselfdrive.co.uk/

I can't see anything wrong with it, apart from the contact page that doesn't have a contact form and "Our Location" page that looks crap.

I checked the rankings and the phrases they rank for (in their title) look alright and they rank on first page for most of them.

I'm really not sure what to do, any suggestions?

It may simply just be the prices. I don't know the going rates for vehicle rentals in that area, but I'll bet there's a competitor charging a bit less. Perhaps you could advise them to run a promo deal or something like that.

    Agree with Frost100

the site looks ok, a little sparse at the bottom but nothing that would put you off.

competition will probably be the reason, you could try putting up some sort of competition with a free hire as a prize or drop the price on something, use it as a loss leader.

    hope that helps

Like any other business, it is typical to see hundreds of visitors come in before one acts. So....

And do know that search engine traffic is horrible when it comes to selling things.

Yet another reason why seo is overrated.

Are they going to other pages?

I would take the info on this page http://www.euroselfdrive.co.uk/prod...talogID=10003&strCatalog_NAME=Vans and Trucks and put it on the homepage.

Why have them click to go to a seperate page when you can easily show it to them right then and there?

By the way, that page is from a link that cannot be seen. I clicked below the "click here for vehicle hire" link.

Does your client sells something that is available internationally? If not then you should ask them to geotarget their site and the promotion that they are doing should be narrowed down for better results. If using Adwords, it is time to revised the campaign.

And if you are doing a job for a client, you shouldn't be asking help in public forum and posting the link to their site as they would find it. I wonder what they think after seeing you here posting a thread saying "not sure what to do".

Agree with proxywhereabouts. Your client would probably not be too happy that you are sharing with everyone that they are not making any sales.

But the actually looks very nice and professional IMO. I would add some business and copyrite info on the bottom though.

Its all about a targeted PPC campaign for this type of business though.

It's painfully obvious to me why this website isn't making money.

    Mostly it's just "me-too-ism".

Read "Scientific Advertising" (book) - the problems with the site
should start to jump out at you.

My Advice will be improve your Site's SEO

    1. Title Having Too Many Keywords....Google Don't like too many words in the title...I will rather not go for a title more than 5 Keywords
    2. THe Home Page Content Is Very Low IN Keywords....Increase the Content rich in Keywords in bold format...Google weighs you more
    3. Make Pages For Every Keyword You Want with Rich Content....if possible
    4. Do SOme Link Building from high PR websites
    5. FOr Making business from Internet, Adwords and other advertising networks are really helpful to get started and build trust in the market

I think these suggestion will surely help you

I would say it's the traffic that's the problem. Try doing AdWords PPC with site placement instead of keywords. Also increase ranking for organic traffic.

More traffic won't fix a site that doesn't sell the goods...
    which this one isn't.

It's not a traffic problem. It's a sales problem... as in no sales.

    Why no sales?

    It's boring.

It doesn't say anything we haven't seen before. It offers
no special red and yellow bargains. It offers no coupons.

All it has if puffed-up nonsense about better service, yada-yada.

I'm going to recommend sitespokeperson. The little audiotary person that jumps right at the user and encourages them to do something. Order now, reserve a van, etc. The site is visually appealing: Professional and clean.

Maybe they need to do a little bit more offline advertising i.e. direct mailers, calls, email marketing campaign, partner up with other businesses that need there business. I don't think its the site. I think they don't have a marketing plan.
