website display problem in IE

    I have my website on a set width and margins auto, shows up centered in firefox, but stays to the left in IE. Normally never have a problem getting them both centered. I'm not sure whats wrong or where to look now. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

    Are you sure your html start tag of your page is right? <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
    "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
